TThis summer, the Maker Space hosted Future Artisans: High School Workshop, where students turned ideas into real creations with the heat press, laser cutter, and xTool F1 engraver.
The first session introduced heat transfer printing on tote bags and T-shirts.
The second, Let’s Engrave Your Sliding Puzzle, combined puzzle games with AI-assisted design and laser engraving. One student shared, “Learning both laser engraving and design software was refreshing, and it was so fun to turn my favorite images into a toy!”
The third, AI Music QR Code Keychain, let students compose songs with AI tools and engrave scannable QR codes onto acrylic keychains.
Through these workshops, students explored the integration of AI, design, and digital fabrication — embodying the STEAM spirit by blending creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on practice.
